  • Overview

    To plan, organize, and educate the execution of the company and supplier fine wine initiatives through assigned personnel to achieve corporate and supplier objectives for the National market.



    Planning – Director of Education is expected to plan their own time and activities as well as those of their assigned management personnel to ensure achievement of company and supplier fine wine sales objectives by:

    • Understanding the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the company’s sales function and sales information systems.
    • Developing, coordinating and monitoring the luxury offering activities of the National sales and management organization.
    • Having knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company’s business; and the ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations to achieve the goals set forth with the Luxury wine program.


    Organizing – Director of Education is expected to organize the structure and utilization of management personnel and resources Nationally to ensure the effective execution of the Luxury wine initiatives.


    Directing – Director of Education is expected to skillfully direct the execution of the Luxury Wine business plan to achieve financial objectives for assigned market by:

    • Having the ability to work with all Four Divisions in setting objectives and agenda, generate allegiance to those objectives, guide and motivate their achievement of the Luxury Wine Goals.
    • Providing leadership and direction to all chain management personnel where required.
    • Establishing priorities and maintaining brand standards.
    • Conveying knowledge of key customer’s business operations and the ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling the company’s Luxury wine portfolio to each.
    • Utilizing assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes on the Luxury Wine Portfolio.Communicating – Director of Education is expected to function as a key member of the management team communicating and representing all aspects of the sales organization for area of responsibility by: 
    • Imparting knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the sales function to sales and management teams.
    • Establishing and maintaining productive supplier and customer relationships.
    • Monitoring pricing and programming within respective area of Luxury Wine offerings.




            *  Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

    *  Minimum of three years of sales management experience
    •  Experienced in selling domestic and international fine and luxury wines
    •  Brand building and outside sales experience is preferred.
    •  Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT a must); experience using Diver is preferred.
    •  Ability to work a flexible schedule depending upon the needs of distributors and customers.
    •  Distributor knowledge
    •  CSW certification or ability to obtain preferred
