  • Overview

    Installs and maintains networks, operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance.  Helps troubleshoot and coordinate larger issues with appropriate technical and business resources.  Applies technical knowledge to assist business users with computer problems.


    Job Duties:


    • Troubleshoots networking and operating system problems.
    • Helps coordinate investigations to resolve information system issues.
    • Conducts research to understand, explain and resolve technology issues. 
    • Communicates updates to users that have been or may be affected by a problem. 
    • Follows up with users after problems have been resolved. 
    • Utilizes help desk tracking and reporting software to identify opportunities for service improvement.
    • Coordinates referrals to technical, professional or service personnel depending on the repair, training, service or software issue.
    • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. 


    Experience and Education:


    • Performs work under general supervision. 
    • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
    • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 to 3 years of experience or technical training and 3 to 4 years of experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • General understanding of database operation
    • Report writing and business process experience
    • Experience with SQL and script writing
