  • Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Digital & Social Media Marketing Manager to work with our public relations department experts on behalf of major luxury wine clients and brand efforts. The role will work with internal team members producing content from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

    Additionally, will have not only deep understanding of the tools, platforms, and technologies, but really be in tune with emerging trends within digital and social media, as well as understand the broader cultural shift taking place through digital means.



    • Work closely with public relations and marketing for promotional content
    • Structure editorial execution and create materials for quarterly magazine, website, social media, catalogs/brochures
    • Establish, define and maintain editorial content as well as best practices for web publishing
    • Define program and channel strategy & set KPIs; monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
    • Provide content syndication strategy and direction for all syndication priorities including SEO strategy
    • Merchandize program success and articulate opportunities for growth
    • Delivers final documents to communications department
    • Provide editorial direction of major content packages within the editorial calendar
    • Prepare style guides that determine tone and usage on a story by story basis
    • Develop a website traffic plan and create goals and benchmarks to meet
    • Generate monthly reports for marketing and PR campaign’s performance
    • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
    • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, public relations and sales to ensure brand consistency
    • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor wine reviews
    • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)



    Required Skills and Experience

    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience at an online publishing company or traditional publisher with an extensive online presence, digital marketing/advertising agency or other relevant experience preferred. Food & Wine, Wine & Spirits category experience required
    • Experience managing issues through social/editorial, assisting in preparation of documentation around issues management: driving conversations, impact of issues on communities/communications and providing recommendations; and knows what tools to utilize to get to the result
    • Understanding of media partnerships and influencer relationships and where the opportunities lie; have experience developing and managing those partnerships


    Desired Skills

    • Be a strong hands-on individual who can organize and operate multi-faceted programs
    • Have content analytics experience (Google Analytics/Omniture) and hands-on experience with SEO strategies
    • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal team members
    • Have strong presentation skills (Keynote/Powerpoint)
    • Have excellent organization and time management skills
    • Demonstrate expertise in web publishing: from structuring a website for organization of content to copy editing
    • Understands content management and content publishing platforms (WordPress, Expression Engine, etc.
    • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
    • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
